Alexandria, Va. – September 4, 2024 – Michael L Kiklis is pleased to announce the launch of his boutique patent law firm, Kiklis Law Firm, PLLC.

The firm, headquartered in Alexandria and situated near the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), offers a comprehensive range of legal services related to patent disputes, including trials before the USPTO’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), appeals from the PTAB to the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and patent litigation/arbitrations.

“Today’s patent landscape is increasingly dynamic, particularly for technology companies,” said firm founder Kiklis. “I am passionate about helping my clients with new opportunities and handling the complex patent disputes that could impact their business ventures. I am honored and delighted to launch Kiklis Law to bring a unique and dedicated approach to tech companies that requires the deep level of industry knowledge we offer.”

With three decades of experience, Kiklis brings to bear an in-depth understanding of the business and IP needs of his technology clients. He has handled 100 PTAB cases, including more than 20 Federal Circuit appeals from those cases. Kiklis both enforces and defends the intellectual property rights of his clients and is often called upon to handle cases worth more than $100 million. He leverages his extensive background in computer science and years of experience in virtually every kind of patent matter, from cross-licensing and due diligence to bet-the-company PTAB trials and patent litigation.

“Above all else, I am committed to helping my clients remain ahead of their competition and continue to innovate by providing effective, relevant legal counsel,” Kiklis said.

For more than 10 consecutive years, Kiklis has been recognized by Intellectual Asset Management as one of the world’s leading patent practitioners and as an “IP Star” by Managing Intellectual Property. Kiklis earned his JD, magna cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law, his MS in Computer Science from Boston University, and his BS in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
