London, United Kingdom – 25 March 2025 – RightHub, the company making it simple to protect, commercialize, and maintain intellectual property (IP), has today announced new added functionality to its AI-powered IP Management System (IPMS) platform in the form of AI-powered docketing.
RightHub’s updated portfolio management system aims to redefine IP standards and simplify collaboration. This frees up IP administrators to be more productive and reduce costs in the process.
RightHub is the first and only full-cycle IPMS to have been built around cutting-edge AI technology. Since its inception in 2022, its AI-powered platform has been assisting with tasks such as patent drafting and document analysis, and the updated automated docketing functionality is the next step on the RightHub journey to making IP management effortless.
AI docketing within the RightHub platform offers law firms and IP owners the unique ability to automatically match documents and correspondence to case files via their own proprietary large language model (LLM). Events and tasks are automatically created from case information, providing an intuitive system that minimizes the risk of missed deadlines and reduces data discrepancy through less human touchpoints and ultimately ensuring users’ IP portfolios are always up to date.
RightHub’s portfolio interface is also assisted by email integration that allows users to sync multiple email addresses to their RightHub inbox, autonomously matching correspondence and attached documents to related case files and giving them access to all related information in one place, eliminating the need to log in to multiple different portals.
RightHub Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer (CPO), Jon-James Kirtland, commented: “Currently it takes 8-12 minutes to manually docket, and with our new AI docketing features, that process can be reduced to one click. The current system is outdated, and in an industry that is notoriously slow to adapt, we aim to support law firms and IP owners with the transition into a more efficient way of managing their IP, where processes are streamlined and more time can be spent on innovation.
“It’s estimated that law firms spend up to £60,000 per administrator a year. Through our platform, they can reduce their overall manual administration tasks by at least 50%. This frees up IP administrators to be more productive, take on more clients, and focus on growing their business.”
With over 1,700 organizations across law firms and businesses trusting RightHub to manage their IP portfolios already, it’s clear that the industry is waking up to the benefits that AI can bring, and RightHub continues to lead the way in facilitating that transformation.
