LONDON – Leading IP law firm Powell Gilbert has announced the promotion of Claire Robinson from Senior Associate to Of Counsel, as well as the appointment of three new Associates, reflecting the firm’s commitment to growing and developing its market-leading team. 

Robinson joined Powell Gilbert in 2007 and specializes in advising clients before the UK Patents Court and Court of Appeal and in the coordination of multi-jurisdictional actions. Drawing on her background in the physical sciences, she advises on complex technologies in the fields of robotics, semiconductors, electronics, computer software, and telecommunications, including cases involving international technology standards.

Additionally, the firm confirmed the appointment of three Associates, Sam Andrews, Charlotte Malley, and Ellis King. 

  • Andrews holds a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Leeds. He joined the firm as a Paralegal in 2020 and qualified as a solicitor in 2025.
  • Malley holds a BA in Natural Sciences and an MSci in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge. She joins the firm from Carpmaels & Ransford.
  • King holds an MSci in Physics from Imperial College London. She joins the firm from Dehns.
