Pierson Ferdinand strengthens IP bench with appointment of Eric Kohli as partner

With over two decades of experience at the forefront of IP law, Kohli joins PierFerd with a compelling track record of representing clients, including Fortune 100/500 clients, across various industries, including software, electronics, mobile applications, automotive, and medical technologies.

Kohli is renowned for his strategic approach and creativity, finding innovative legal solutions, and counseling clients in achieving their business goals. Kohli has successfully prosecuted, enforced, licensed, and litigated complex and high-profile IP matters nationwide. He has also served as an expert witness in intellectual property litigation matters.

Kohli’s appointment aligns with PierFerd’s leadership strategy to strengthen and expand its national IP capabilities, deepening its bench strength in key growth markets. PierFerd looks forward to Kohli collaborating closely with his fellow IP Practice Partners, continuing his reputation for high-quality service and sophisticated IP counsel and advocacy.

Prior to joining PierFerd, Kohli held senior roles at Brooks Kushman P.C., where he was a Shareholder, and at Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie (now Womble Bond Dickinson), among other respected firms. He currently serves as President of the South Asian Bar Association of Las Vegas (SABA-LV) and is a recognized leader in the local legal community.

Kohli is licensed in Illinois, Nevada, Missouri, and before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

He holds a J.D. with an emphasis in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (formerly The John Marshall Law School) and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Northern Illinois University.
