Miami, FL – April 2, 2025 – Pierson Ferdinand LLP (“PierFerd”), one of the world’s fastest-growing law firms, announces the appointment of Benjamin Dach as a Partner in its Intellectual Property (IP) Practice.
Dach arrives at PierFerd with considerable experience in IP and patent law. His practice will focus on the development, protection, and monetization of IP portfolios, strategic licensing and commercial agreements, due diligence processes, and enforcement strategies.
He joins PierFerd from Weiss & Arons, LLP, a full-service IP law firm where he was Partner, and held various senior roles at Am Law-ranked firms: Loeb & Loeb LLP, WilmerHale LLP, and Quinn Emanuel LLP, among others. Across the last decade, he has counseled clients and litigated issues covering the full spectrum of IP matters.
Dach was recently recognized as a ‘Rising Star in IP’ by Super Lawyers in 2023 and 2025 and has guest-lectured on IP at several institutions.
Throughout his career, Dach has represented numerous clients in high-stakes disputes before US courts, administrative proceedings, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Notably, Dach has litigated several pharmaceutical patent cases involving drugs such as Lialda, Vyvanse, Intuniv, Oxtellar XR, Pomalyst, Revlimid, and Cabometyx, and has counseled clients on IP relating to biological drugs and vaccines.
Drawing on his scientific credentials from his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Columbia University, Dach frequently represents clients operating in the pharmaceutical, technological, medical, and chemicals industries.
Christopher R. Kinkade & Naira Simmons, Co-Chairs, Intellectual Property at Pierson Ferdinand, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Ben to PierFerd. Across his career, he has successfully navigated the complexities of patent prosecution for numerous clients, while his experience in high-stakes pharmaceutical litigation has given him significant pedigree in drafting and prosecuting patent applications and complex portfolios at the highest level. His arrival strengthens our entire IP department, particularly in relation to the prosecution of the pharmaceutical, biological, and chemicals industries. We all look forward to working closely with Ben over the coming years.”
Dach holds his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and is licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
