PATPOL is one the oldest Polish firms specializing in intellectual and industrial property protection. It was founded in 1966 as a state-owned company within the Polish Chamber of International Trade. The political and economic transformation of the 1990’s turned Poland into a free market economy. Consequently, in 1992 PATPOL became a private patent and trademark attorneys firm with a broad domestic and international clientele. Regardless of all changes over time, the firm has always pursued to maintain a high standard of services, ensuring that all IP rights entrusted to us are under good care.
Today, PATPOL is a highly qualified team of patent attorneys, lawyers and specialists practicing in the main fields of technology and intellectual property protection. Our attorneys are members of many international committees and organizations, such as INTA, AIPPI, ECTA, MARQUES, FICPI, LES, ITMA and ASIPI. We represent clients before the Polish Patent Office, the European Patent Office, the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs) and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). We also handle court and administrative proceedings before the Polish courts and customs authorities.
Our key areas of practice include: patents, trademarks, industrial designs, inventions, utility models, patent and trademark searches, infringement, legal advice, internet domain names, copyright, customs seizures and combating unfair competition.
