Appointment of Adam Mackinnon follows round of internal promotions in April
Specialist IP law firm Powell Gilbert LLP announces that it has expanded its market-leading team of IP lawyers with the appointment of Adam Mackinnon as an Associate.
Adam has a background in the life sciences and holds a master’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford. He joins Powell Gilbert from Simmons & Simmons where he trained and qualified as a lawyer. He has experience over a range of contentious IP matters, including patent litigation in the pharmaceutical and telecommunications fields and trademark litigation.
His appointment follows the internal promotions on 1st April of Dr Tess Waldron and Dr Joel Coles to the firm’s partnership, and Dr Richard Fawcett to Of Counsel, as well as three previous lateral hires in 2021, reflecting the firm’s commitment to cultivating its team of first-rate legal talent.
