At the beginning of 2024, HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER expanded the German patent team by four experienced and well-known new additions to the Düsseldorf site. The Düsseldorf patent team under the Managing Partner, Klaus Haft, will now comprise 26 lawyers and patent attorneys.
Andreas Staudigel and Ling-Ling Dorsch are a well-established team who are bringing their outstanding expertise in patent infringement proceedings to HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER. Staudigel (as Counsel) and Dorsch (as Senior Associate) are an excellent complement to Partner Dr Christine Kanz’s pharmaceutical practice, recently expanded with the recruitment of two patent attorneys and two technical consultants.
At the same time, the technical areas of telecommunications, electronics, and mechanics will be reinforced by two additional experienced litigators: Sebastian Kratzer will join as Counsel with his comprehensive expertise in the areas of mobile communications, IT and electronics, high-tech engineering, and the automotive industry. Sven Krause contributes his exceptional knowledge of standard-essential patents in the field of telecommunications, semiconductor technology, and mechanics as a Senior Associate.
Shortly after the start of the UPC, before which HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER had already successfully conducted the first proceedings for its clients, it became apparent that this additional option of legal proceedings opened up a new and exciting framework for action. This is ideally filled by a further expansion of the established top-tier patent team, particularly by younger, experienced colleagues.
Klaus Haft, Managing Partner of HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER Germany comments: “The decision to integrate external newcomers with litigation experience into our team on a broader scale is a novelty of the HR strategy at HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER in Düsseldorf, but without heralding a cultural change. What sets us apart is our passion for IP and our commitment to providing our clients with first-class legal support. This step is a contribution to our continuous development and a clear commitment to the highest level of professionalism. Our core values of shared identity and inclusion remain unchanged.”
HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER is looking forward to these new additions and is convinced that these four new colleagues will help further consolidate the firm’s position as one of the leading IP boutiques in Germany and Europe.
