London, March 20, 2025 Edwin Coe is thrilled to announce the appointment of partners Dennis Lee and Lakmal Walawage to its Intellectual Property team.

Lee has a great deal of experience and expertise in IP rights, licensing, business contracts, digital and technology, and internet and IT-related disputes. He is fluent in written and spoken Mandarin and Cantonese and can advise and negotiate on behalf of clients in Chinese. Lee joins our team from Broadfield UK (formerly BDB Pitmans), having headed the IP department there.

Walawage joins Edwin Coe from JMW Solicitors, where he led their IP team, having trained at a specialist IP practice. He has experience covering all aspects of intellectual property law, breach of confidence, and defamation disputes. He specializes in disputes both in the High Court (including the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court) and in the Registry (both EUIPO and UKIPO). Walawage adds additional strength to our trademarks and designs filing and prosecution practice.
