16 June 2025 – “M&A and private equity transactions require significant transitional services agreements, which increasingly have heavy technology, data, and cyber components and can lead to substantial IT migration and integration projects that require specialist advice,” said White & Case partner Brendan Quinn. “Nicholas’s broad expertise in IT, IP, cyber security, and data protection makes him a great addition to meet this need.”
Boyle advises on digital transformation projects and complex commercial transactions, including those involving procurement, the design and implementation of complex IT systems, business process outsourcing arrangements, and the commercialization of technology services and systems. He also advises clients on data protection and cybersecurity-related matters, including regulatory compliance with privacy and cyber laws and data incident responses. Boyle joins White & Case from Bird & Bird, where he was a partner.
White & Case partner and Vice Chair Oliver Brettle said: “The expertise Nicholas brings supports the growing need for IT, IP, and data protection capabilities in the wider Asia-Pacific region as we see more technology-focused M&A transactions, as well as supporting our other practices in the region, such as project development and finance, where IT and data are central to many projects, for example, data centers. His addition is also an important part of our strategy to build out our M&A team in Australia following the arrival of partners Aaron Kenavan and Jamie Palmer in Sydney at the start of the year.”
The arrival of Boyle follows the recent addition of IP partners David Stone, Karla Hughes, Adrian Dykes, Dan Reavill, and Michael Evans in London, Sapna Palla and Bethany Hills in New York, Adam Greenfield in Washington, DC, and Melissa Anyetei in Chicago.
The White & Case Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice has also continued to expand since the start of 2025, with the addition of partners Sasha Belinkie, Richard Brand, Kiran Kadekar, Erica Hogan, and Jaye Kasper in New York; Helen Croke, Henry Birch, and Richard Browne in London; Giovanni Spedicato in Milan; Sonia Tubiana in Paris; and Aaron Kenavan and Jamie Palmer in Sydney.
