LONDON – Intellectual property firm Mewburn Ellis today announces three promotions in the firm, including two to the partnership, taking effect from April 1, 2025. Camille Terfve has been appointed as a full member of the partnership; Lucy Coe has been promoted to a junior member of the partnership, and Rebecca Blundell has become an IP director.
Camille Terfve is a unique computational biology and AI life science specialist with technical and patent experience in this specific field. She has expertise in bioinformatics/computational biology, digital health, AI in the life sciences, and advanced bioprocessing. Terfve regularly speaks at conferences and panel events, which provides the ideal opportunity to bring her complex specialist subjects to life and a wider audience. She joined Mewburn Ellis in 2019, having qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney in 2018, and joined the partnership in 2022.
Lucy Coe is a UK and European patent attorney with a focus on contentious work and litigation, including EPO oppositions and appeals and UK litigation. With a background in physics, she is particularly experienced in the fields of computer-implemented and software-based inventions, AI/ML, the Internet of Things, and wearable technology. Coe continues her role as Lead of IP Inclusive’s Women in IP and is a founding member of Mewburn’s WoMEn network and a member of the Mewburn Ellis Inclusion and Diversity Collaboration Group. Coe joined Mewburn Ellis LLP in 2016, qualifying as a Chartered Patent Attorney in 2019 and European Patent Attorney in 2021. She also has a Diploma in Patent Litigation in Europe from the University of Strasbourg.
These partner promotions are accompanied by the promotion of Rebecca Blundell, who becomes an IP Director. Blundell is a UK & European patent attorney specializing in the chemistry and materials fields. She works at all stages of the patent lifecycle, including invention capture, drafting, prosecution, and opposition proceedings. She has extensive experience in patent challenge work, including preparing infringement and validity opinions, third-party observations, and opposition & appeals before the EPO. Exceptional client care is a priority for Blundell. She fosters strong client relationships, building trust, and collaborating closely, taking a “we’re in this together” approach. Blundell joined Mewburn Ellis in 2016 and qualified as a UK Chartered Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney in 2021.
