Boston, MA – October 31, 2024 – Pierson Ferdinand LLP (“PierFerd”), one of the world’s fastest-growing law firms, announces the appointment of Daniel Rose as Partner.
Rose arrives after two years at Volpe Koenig, having previously spent over a decade at Foley & Lardner, LLP where he was a Partner. Licensed to practice in Massachusetts, his arrival bolsters PierFerd’s intellectual property and patent expertise.
He brings vast experience in niche practice areas such as media processing and delivery, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and innovative technologies, including AI, machine learning, and blockchain algorithms – expertise that will drive growth for PierFerd’s Intellectual Property department.
During his career, Rose has advised NASDAQ 100-listed multinationals, startups, and everything in between on patent portfolio development, infringement, and patentability opinions; IP diligence for M&A – and has represented clients in post-grant proceedings before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Rose also supports clients’ commercial goals via business intelligence analysis, identifying filing patterns of clients’ domestic and foreign competitors to give them a competitive advantage – underlining his commitment to providing an exceptional, all-encompassing service across his practice.
Rose is an avid educator and author on patent jurisprudence. He regularly delivers presentations on software patentability, improving the knowledge and skills of in-house counsels and private attorneys, and frequently speaks at flagship conventions for key industry players.
Rose joins PierFerd’s world-class IP Department – led by Christopher R. Kinkade and Naira Simmons – with a remit to expand PierFerd’s IP offering in rapidly developing technological fields such as AI, blockchain, and cybersecurity.
Joel M Ferdinand, Co-Chairman of Pierson Ferdinand, said: “Daniel’s extensive experience in emerging technologies makes him an asset to our world-class IP practice.
