Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Eda Stark has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as an associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation group, which also recently welcomed partner Andrew R Kopsidas.
Eda concentrates her practice on representing innovator companies across a range of industries in high-stakes, high-risk disputes related to complex technologies. Eda has experience in a wide variety of forums, including before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, the US International Trade Commission, and district courts in many states.
Eda joins Blank Rome from Hughes Hubbard & Reed and previously practiced at Fish & Richardson. Along with her experience as an associate at international law firms, she also has experience working as an in-house counsel in the aerospace industry, where she focused on legal issues surrounding commercial human space travel. During law school, Eda built the foundation of her patent practice doing patent prosecution as a technology specialist at a boutique intellectual property law firm.
Admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Massachusetts, Eda received her JD, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School, and her BA from Smith College. Before beginning her legal career, Eda spent nearly a decade as a scientist in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, where she worked to develop treatments for neurological and ophthalmic diseases.
