Law Exchange Associates is a Corporate and Commercial full-service law firm providing innovative legal solutions to its domestic as well as international clients. It is a full-service law firm that constitutes of several advocates, legal consultants, and several paralegal and administrative staff. The firm was established in 2015. The founding member of our firm is Mr. Patric David Mapenzi Mhina (Esq), who is currently the chairman and managing partner of the firm.

The firm’s client base includes local, national, and international companies across a broad range of sectors, ranging from emerging business to multi-nationals, as well as public sector organisations. As a new generation law firm, we have faced the challenges of empowerment and transformation by taking a leading role through the creation of a new generation multi-disciplinary law firm that addresses the needs of their clients following a holistic approach. OUR OFFICES:

The firm’s main office is in the city of Dar es salaam, which is the business centre of Tanzania and another subsidiary office at the prestigious and tourism environs of the clove Island in Zanzibar.

THE FOUNDER:

Patric David M. Mhina is an Advocate of the High Court of Zanzibar, Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania, and an accredited Mediator. He has an experience of over 15 years in Manufacturing & Beverage industries as well as in Construction Sector. He is a founder and Managing partner at Law Exchange Associates but also, in-house Legal Manager at PepsiCo Tanzania. He holds a master’s degree in intellectual property laws from the University of Dar es salaam School of Law, a Bachelor of Laws degree, and a Post graduate Diploma in legal practices from the Law school of Tanzania and a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from the Open University of Tanzania. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Taxation from the institute of Tax Administration as well a Post Graduate Diploma in Med/Arb from the Institute of Social Work.

His area of specialization includes but not limited to intellectual property laws, tax laws, Insurance laws, labour & employment law, contracts law, Human resources & strategic management, Mediation and Arbitration laws (Med/Arb).

He is also a member of professional bodies like; East African Law Society (EALS), Tanganyika Law Society (TLS), Zanzibar Law Society (ZLS) and Maritime Law Association of Tanzania (MLAT)

The firm has associate lawyers to enable dealing with matters across the country and globally under one umbrella.
