The Dennemeyer Group has purchased Munich-based start-up patent search service provider Octimine Technologies. Founded in 2015 founded by former LMU Munich and Max Planck Institute scientists Michael Natterer, Matthias Pötzl and Dietmar Harhoff, Octimine provides patent-searching and analysis tools utilising artificial intelligence (AI).

Octimine’s system uses machine learning and algorithms to conduct searches; their services are already used by Siemens, Deutsche Post, and Harvard University.

Dennemeyer CEO Reinhold Nowak stated “The acquisition of this innovative startup is a huge achievement in further realizing our global strategy.”
